the first café used to celebrate the motion of the gift.
it happened in my basement.

Polina Lasenko displayed her work in the Basement of the Tate Gallery. it was a series of photographs of news anchors that she photographed on a digital screen using analogue techniques. she called it Storytellers. she said she wanted to do something that was more related to the evening at hand. it felt pretty related to me.

people brought small foods.
mostly we drank wine instead of coffee.
i read the album Speak Now by Taylor Swift aloud.
a poster was made from drawings done at the café.
