14.

hello, and thank you. you’ve given me something special and i’ve asked you to take it away from yourself, which i know can be hard. it’s coming back to you, so don’t you worry and trust me. your image is precious or i wouldn’t have asked you for it. in giving it to me and not keeping it for yourself as well, i know that when I look at it, it is unique in all the world and i hope that you know when i give you something back it holds marks from my trembling hand and is just as difficult to let go of as what you gave me before. things change, and when they change by movement of the gift between you and me it helps prevent the change from being trod on carelessly and a gift requires care. a gift between us requires care because we have shared scripted and unscripted moments. we had a moment at some point where there was a transformation and our relationship wasn’t what it was before. sometimes for the better and, usually because of me, sometimes for the worst. i can divide time into segments and chapters based on where we stood and how close. there isn’t only one timeline in a lifetime if it’s measured in social events. thank you, and I hope to see you soon.
